Adding an instruction video

Updated October 17, 2026

Why add one

People record better when they have seen what a good answer looks like. A short video from you, even 30 seconds long, answers most questions before anyone asks them.

Add it to your campaign

  • When you create a campaign with the guide, turn on Show them in a short video as well under the three prompts. Your camera opens as soon as the campaign exists. The screen after creating also has Record a how-to video.
  • For an existing campaign, open it from your dashboard and go to Settings, then Page, then Instruction video.
  • Press Record instructions and speak to the camera. You get up to 2 minutes, in the same orientation as your campaign.
  • Watch it back, then press Use this video. If you already have a video, press Upload a file instead.
  • The video goes live as soon as it is saved. You do not need to press Save for the video itself.

What people see

When someone opens your link, QR code or embed, they see your video first, with the Ready? Go button underneath. Watching is optional, and the button works at any time. On the camera screen, Watch the instructions again opens the video over the camera. Anyone who records a second time goes straight to the camera.

Making it required

Turn on People must watch it to the end when the instructions matter, for example when you need a spoken statement. The button then waits until the video has played through. Press Save after changing this switch. If the video cannot load, people can still record, so a broken video never blocks anyone.

Tips

  • Keep it under a minute if you can. Most people skip long videos.
  • Say what you want in one sentence, then show an example.
  • Record it the way people will: phone upright for a vertical campaign, on its side for a horizontal one.
  • To change the video, press Record again or Upload a different file. To remove it, press Remove.
