Webhooks, the API and Zoho Recruit

Updated October 12, 2026

Zoho Recruit

There is no direct Zoho Recruit connection yet, and one is planned. Today you can add a custom link or button on candidates that opens your campaign’s recording page. A personal recording link made through the API carries the person’s name and email, so the video comes back tagged with who it is from. Videos land in the campaign’s Responses tab.

Webhooks for everything else

Whoosh sends a signed JSON POST to an HTTPS address you provide each time the event you pick happens. The events are New response, Showreel generated, Campaign created and Campaign updated. If your receiver keeps failing, Whoosh switches the webhook off, so fix the receiver and add it again.

Setting up a webhook

  1. 1

Open Automations from your dashboard (Pro or above) and go to Webhooks.

  2. 2

Click New webhook, choose the event under When, and enter your address under Send a POST to. It must start with https:// and be reachable from the internet.

  3. 3

Click Create webhook and copy the signing secret, which is shown once. Use it to check the X-Whoosh-Signature header on each request.

  4. 4

Click Send test on the new webhook to confirm your receiver accepts the request.

Zapier, Make and n8n

Whoosh does not have its own app inside Zapier yet. In Zapier, use Webhooks by Zapier with the Catch Hook trigger, paste the address Zapier gives you into a new Whoosh webhook, then build the rest of the Zap. Make and n8n work the same way with their webhook steps. To call Whoosh from those tools, create a key under API keys. Connect your tools on the same page creates one for you and copies it.
